Edith Morley Park
City of Campbell, California

Edith Morley Park is a 4-acre neighborhood park located in a mixed-use business and residential district.  The park is used by both the local office workers and the residents, and provides a wide variety of park experiences.   Formerly a drive-in theater, the site contains a row of mature pines that served as an important scale and organizing element in the design.  A local water district storm management pond abuts one edge of the project.  The theme of water was extended into the project in the form of naturalized water features and wetland areas.  SFE provided workshop facilitation, master planning, report preparation, construction documents and construction administration.

Some of the key features of Edith Morley Park include: Native plant gardens; Nature study areas; Walking trails; Wetlands w/ Boardwalk access; Multi-use lawn meadow; Community vegetable garden; Sculpture wall; Restroom; Group picnic area; Tree groves.
