Frank Hoyt Park
City of Tracy

The design for Frank Hoyt Park is based on the theme of the railroads that were fundamental to the development and expansion of Tracy, and other central valley communities.  The circular arbor is a reference to the old railroad platform, as well as a significant shade structure in a hot, sunny climate.   The project contains a mix of passive and active recreational features.  A dry climate demonstration garden is contained in an isolated corner of the park and serves as an educational resource for the community.  SFE provided public facilitation, master planning, design development, construction documents and construction administration for this 6.5-acre neighborhood park.

Some of the key features of Frank Hoyt Park include: Arbored Seating Area; Restroom Facility; Water Sculpture; Tennis Courts; Dry Climate Demonstration Garden; Sand Volleyball Court; Younger and Older Children’s Play Areas.
