Lafayette Moraga Trail
East Bay Regional Park District

SFE prepared a resource analysis and trail development plan for this scenic bicycle and pedestrian trail linking the City of Lafayette with the Town of Moraga.  The Lafayette Moraga Trail is an important link in the regional trail system.  Issues considered in the resource analysis and trail development plan include topography, view sheds, climate, geology, vegetation, soils and wildlife.  The trails proximity to urban development required careful consideration of vehicular, pedestrian, equestrian and bicycle circulation patterns.  In addition to the design of the trail, SFE designed the Moraga Commons, which is a community scale park that serves as the Moraga terminus of the Lafayette Moraga Trail.
