SFE provided master planning, design development, construction documents and construction administration for the renovation of the children’s play area and swimming pool complex.  Sensitivity to mature trees in the play area and to the existing pool and swim building locations are central to the master plan.  The play area used the mature existing trees to locate seating areas and picnic tables for parents.  The play area contains younger and older children’s zones, separated by a pedestrian bridge.  A 10’ wide concrete slide, built into a small hillside, can accommodate large numbers of children at one time.  The pool complex includes the complete restoration of the existing swimming pools and mechanical equipment, a new pool deck, an equipment and storage building, and the surrounding turf and landscape improvements.

Renovation features include: Concrete decking around pool; Built-in concrete slide; New pool liner and mechanical system;  Arched bridge;  Preservation of mature existing trees;  Picnic and Seating Areas.
