Rio Vista Parks Master Plan

SFE prepared the city-wide Parks Master Plan for the City of Rio Vista.  The project involved public workshops, joint commission and council study sessions and an informal user survey that assisted with the needs assessment component of the plan.  Close collaboration with the city staff and the Parks and Recreation Commission, in addition to the public workshops, was central to the shaping of the plan.  In addition to working with city staff, the commissions, council and the community, SFE worked closely with the real estate developers as they prepared their entitlement plans, to insure that the vision set forth in the Parks Master Plan was integrated in the entitlement process of each development project. The Parks Master Plan sets forth a vision for the development of a comprehensive park and trail system for a city that is growing from a population of 7000 to anticipated population of 24,000 within the next twenty years.
