Youth Community Park
Santa Rosa

Youth Community Park is a 72-acre site in Santa Rosa with outstanding natural features.  The existing site includes Peterson Creek, riparian and oak woodlands, jurisdictional wetlands, and annual grasslands   Long views to the west and northeast connect the site to the larger regional landscape.  Sensitivity to natural features was the primary factor influencing design, and the master plan represents a careful balance between the protection of the natural environment and the community’s recreational needs.   SFE provided project management, public facilitation, task force leadership, site and program analysis, design, and commission and council presentation.

Park features include:  Adventure and Theme Play Area; Nature Interpretive Center; Amphitheater; Shelter House & Group Picnic Facilities; Day Camp; Younger Children’s Play Area; Disc Golf Course; Fenced Dog Park; Bike Bumps and Jumps; Tennis Courts; Basketball Courts; Sand Volleyball Court; Informal Turf Areas; 358 Car Parking
