Abel Street Improvements Project

The Abel Street Improvements Project is the re-design and construction of approximately 5500 LF of boulevard immediately adjacent to the historic downtown retail and business district. Abel Street provides an important transportation link to downtown, and a convenient by-pass around the pedestrian-oriented downtown core.  The primary design features of the project include a widened pedestrian sidewalk with a landscaped barrier between the pedestrians and vehicles, a class II bicycle lane, landscaped medians, new boulevard scaled lights, street trees and utility and drainage improvements.  SFE provided concept design, design development and landscape architectural construction documents.
