The Berryessa and Great Mall Light Rail Plazas are two projects designed by David Evans when he was a principal with the urban design firm of Freedman, Tung and Bottomley. Both of these projects aim to link the multi-modal operations of the VTA, and provide attractive and useable areas for transit users.

Ainsley Plaza is a small public plaza located at the primary entry into historic Downtown Campbell. The plaza design integrates retail parking and passive recreational uses, and serves as a key pedestrian pass-through from abutting residential neighborhoods into the historic downtown and the VTA Light Rail Transit Station. The design includes a water feature, stage, and a unified plaza and parking surface that can be used for special events.
