Stow Plaza, U.C. Berkeley

Stow Plaza is a multi-use plaza adjacent to the varsity tennis courts that serves as the northern gateway to Edwards Field on the U.C. Berkeley Campus. The plaza and gate design compliment existing Art Deco walls and corresponding campus character. Sensitive to the context, SFE designed a powder-coated steel gate with articulated concrete columns.  Brick bands and exposed aggregate paving tie the plaza into the existing campus character.
